From design to final installation, we want to be personally involved with your project. You might be surprised to know that many of our craftsmen can recall the specifics of your project just by your name alone. The day after, or years after installation, when you call us, you won’t need to explain who you are or what we built for you. Being one of only a few manufacturers that market our product for direct sales to Home Builders, Interior Designers and quality conscious homeowners, every order is a custom design and a custom build. Cabinets by Graber is a family owned company located in the small northeastern town of Grabill Indiana. For more than 30 years, we’ve manufactured top quality custom cabinets for homes across the United States, as well as the Caribbean and Europe.
The Cabinets by Graber story starts in the early 1970’s in an old converted hog barn. This is where our founder, Chris Graber, an Amish farmer at the time, started producing wood neck yokes, baseball bats and other wood crafts to earn the extra income needed to raise his large family. In short order, Graber products became so popular that it became necessary to begin employing other local farmers to help with the production of redwood hot tub skirting, furniture, and other handcrafted wood products. By the 1980’s, Mr. Graber brought his sons on board and turned the primary business focus on expanding the custom cabinet portion of the business. In 1989, the company suffered a devastating fire and lost everything. Mr. Graber, along with his son’s, decided to rebuild and focus solely on high end custom cabinetry.
Today, we continue with our tradition of exceptional customer service and craftsmanship, as well as investing further in the latest technologies and systems that allow us to be regarded as a premier manufacturer of custom luxury cabinets for luxury homes. While our technology and capability exceeds the standards of today, we still implement several time-honored construction methods like dovetailed joinery and hand rubbed finishes. Currently, Cabinets by Graber has many skilled cabinetmakers in addition to the 5 sons and 4 son-in-laws (as well as 3rd generation grandchildren). Additionally, our facilities offer a beautiful showroom that showcases our handcrafted custom cabinetry.
