The owners of this unique and exquisite kitchen are German nationals who have lived in the United States for over 40 years. During a trip to visit their homeland they visited a castle that has been changed to a design center. They saw a hand painted kitchen that spoke to them. For more than two years they spoke with kitchen designers, cabinet companies and custom woodworkers who all told them that the pictures they had in hand could not be translated into a kitchen.

When the customers saw the Graber display kitchen while visiting the Home and Design Luxury Expo at Tyson's Corner, they stopped and talked with a Cabinets by Graber representative who assured them that Cabinets by Graber could turn their memories and expectations of their dream kitchen into reality.

The staff at Graber knew the perfect kitchen designer for them would be Cindi Flahive-Sobel. Over a period of four months Cindi took all of their visions...a custom supplement cabinet...tray storage for patio and indoor trays...Swiss inspired glass mullions...plastered coves and nooks to create the "old world" look and designed the perfect space for them.

Cindi and her customers made a trip to visit the factory and meet the staff who would be building their dream kitchen. Cindi was able to translate her customer's vision into the perfect kitchen by working directly side by side with the paint manager to create the perfect colors and finishes. She knew exactly what this customers needs are so she was able to work with the layout team to design even the smallest details like custom inserts from pots and pans dividers to custom dividers in each and every drawer.

The final product is beyond their expectations. "Each person who comes into this kitchen is overwhelmed," the customer told Cindi recently. "And we take them on a tour of all the special pieces of our space. It really has been a labor of love."
